Culinary Activity Specialist: Winter 2026

We are seeking a Culinary Activity Specialist to immerse scholars in a diverse range of culinary skills, from cooking techniques to food presentation. The specialist will foster creativity and mastery through interactive sessions and create an inclusive environment where students explore and excel in culinary arts.

Requirements

• Embody and effectively model EHTP’s core values for students, including consistent and timely attendance
• Support a program community where restorative practices are actively modeled and used to navigate student and community challenges
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Hold yourself to high professional and ethical standards
• Have at least 2 years of experience working with Elementary and/or Middle School students in an after-school or summer camp setting
• Have experience working with diverse populations of students and communities
• Have experience creating lesson plans around an end-of-term project or performance (project-based learning)
• Be willing to be flexible in your role and adapt to program and student needs, including inclusive learning and SEL competencies
• Have experience teaching culinary arts, including cooking techniques, baking, and food presentation
• Be committed to continuous improvement and learning through professional development
