Job Description
The Teacher Director is responsible for curriculum development and continuity, supervising the educational staff of the site, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children/participants. The role involves creating and reviewing monthly education reports, evaluating teaching staff, and providing training and support to staff. The Teacher Director is also responsible for communicating with parents and other agencies, managing effective teams, and solving problems.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree/accredited college in Early Childhood Development/Education or related field; MA in Education/Early Childhood Education preferred
- 1 year paid Administrative/Supervisory experience
- Certified permanent or initial Certification (N-6) from NYS Department of Education
