Group Leaders - Plant Biology Institute

The Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT) is seeking Research Group Leaders for their newly established Plant Biology Institute. The Institute aims to develop impactful and commercially sustainable solutions for improving global food production and planetary health through pioneering plant science research. This role involves leading a research group, managing projects, and contributing to the Institute’s overall strategy in a rapidly growing research area focused on biological nitrogen fixation, decarbonisation, and advanced plant genome editing.

Requirements

• At least 6 years postdoctoral research experience or relevant industry experience or independent research fellow experience.
• Proven ability to manage scientific output individually and as part of a team of researchers.
• Strategic thinker with experience delivering against long term strategic research programs.
• Track record of developing new research, products, and technologies.
• Project management, communication and resource allocation experience.
