Senior Group Leader (Transformation) - Plant Biology Institute

The Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT) is seeking a Senior Group Leader in Transformation and Genome Editing to lead a world-class research team at the Plant Biology Institute, under the leadership of Professor Steve Kelly. The role focuses on developing innovative techniques for improving global food production through plant science research, commercialization, and impact creation. EIT aims to become a global leader by addressing humanity's greatest challenges in health, food security, and sustainable energy.

Requirements

• 5+ years industry (or similar) experience in research
• Recognised thought leader in their field
• Proven ability to manage scientific output for a team of PhDs/Post-doctoral researchers
• Experience delivering against long term strategic research programs
• Experience of managing a large team of researchers and scientists
• Project management, communication and resource allocation experience
• Ability to build internal and external relationships
• Ability to travel as necessary
