Patient Access Specialist - FT Day shift

Emerus, a leader in small-format hospitals, is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to serve as a liaison between patients, payers, the hospital team, and billing departments. The role involves verifying insurance benefits, collecting payments, managing patient accounts, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The specialist will focus on maximizing hospital reimbursement and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Maintain compliance with EMTALA, DNV, HIPAA and other regulations.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with insurance verification and collection.
• Basic knowledge of insurance plans.
• Experience with MS Office (MS Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Fluency in English (written and oral communication).
