Patient Access Specialist (Full-Time Swing Shift, 2P-2A)

Emerus, a small-format hospital leader, is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to serve as a liaison between patients, payers, and healthcare teams. The role focuses on accurate demographic information, financial processing, insurance verification, and efficient collections. Exceptional customer service and a commitment to patient care are key. This position is a full-time, 16-bed hospital position in Horizon City, TX.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of patient registration and insurance verification experience in a health care setting (preferred)
• Knowledge of various insurance plans (HMO, PPO, POS, Medicare, Medicaid) and payors (required)
• Basic understanding of medical terminology
• Excellent customer service
• Fluency in English (written & oral)
• Fluency in Spanish (required in the El Paso Market)
