Director of Finance

Empatica is a full-stack digital healthcare company that develops and markets digital biomarkers and continuous patient monitoring solutions. We are seeking a Director of Finance to lead our financial structure, ensure sound accounting and transparent reporting, and shape our scalable financial systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's or CPA is a plus)
• 5+ years of experience in Corporate Finance, Accounting, or Big 4 auditing
• Deep understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles and practices across multiple frameworks
• Proven experience managing audits, tax filings, and international tax structures
• Solid grasp of equity compensation (company valuation, stock options)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Tech-savvy — experienced in modern financial tools and ERP systems
• Excellent written and spoken English; other languages are a plus
