Roll Change Mechanic - Manufacturing

Insure Bonding Mills have the correct work rolls required to complete scheduled bonds.

Requirements

• Chock and un-chock work rolls as determined by weekly bond schedules
• Roll changes requested by bonding mill personnel
• Maintain Chocks are in proper working order
• Keep an inventory of ALL work rolls
• Manage all work rolls that require outside processing
• Notify your Supervisor or AC when rolls need to be shipped for plating
• Communicate & coordinate roll profile priorities with roll grind personnel
• Communicate & coordinate any work on rolls, chocks and bearings that need to be done in the maintenance dept
• Super Finish journals when needed prior to roll grinding as needed
• Grit Blast rolls for Bumper products using grit blast lath
• Manage steel brushes for bonding mills
• Assemble new brushes as requested by bonding personnel
• Set up brand new brushes for baking at bells
• Dress brushes as needed
• Order all supplies for roll change areas
• Clean area as needed
• Fill in at mills if needed (helper)
