Painter/Paint Operator - Athens, GA location

This position applies paint coating to transformers and components, loads and unloads parts on the paint line, and ensures safe and proper lifting techniques while considering the values and goals of Power Partners.

Requirements

• Communicate, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Use an iPad or other electronic communication device
• Organizational skills and attention to detail is necessary
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in thousandths
• Demonstrate proper lifting techniques
• Grasp, reach, and handle objects, tools, and materials
• Use measuring devices such as paint mil readers
• Use hand/power tools such as wrenches, screw drivers, tube cutters, sanders & grinders
• Operate overhead hoists and lift assist equipment
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. and push/pull 100+ lbs.
• Frequent standing and walking is necessary
• Occasional sitting, stooping, reaching, or kneeling
• 20/40 vision is required with or without the use of corrective glasses and/or contact lens, as well as normal peripheral vision no less than 70, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Must comply with all plant safety policies and procedures and any special department safety rules
• Must be able to wear all required PPE including, but not limited to: safety toed shoes, safety glasses, cut resistant gloves, and hearing protection
