Welder - Athens, GA location

This is a full-time Welder position at a production facility in Athens, GA. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding metal tanks and components, following safety policies and procedures, and working with various equipment and tools.

Requirements

• Communicate and understand written and verbal instructions
• Use iPad or other electronic communication devices
• Use organizational skills and attention to detail
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in thousandths and up to 1/16th inch
• Demonstrate proper lifting techniques
• Grasp, reach, and handle objects, tools, and materials
• Use measuring devices such as tap measures, calipers, and micrometers
• Use hand/power tools such as grinders, air chisels, and box cutters
• Operate overhead hoists and lift assist equipment
• Lift/push 50+ lbs. and pull up to 110 lbs.
• 20/40 vision is required with or without the use of corrective glasses and/or contact lens, as well as normal peripheral vision no less than 70, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Comply with all plant safety policies and procedures and any special department safety rules
• Wear all required PPE including, but not limited to: safety toed shoes, safety glasses, cut resistant gloves, weld hood and hearing protection
