Job Description
Advanced Veterinary Specialists, a specialty and emergency veterinary hospital in Santa Barbara, CA, is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join their Internal Medicine team. This role involves providing compassionate care, assisting with diagnostic procedures, communicating with pet owners, and collaborating with other veterinarians to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The successful candidate will work closely with a board-certified Internist.
Requirements
- Provide compassionate care and monitoring for animals admitted to the internal medicine department
- Assist with a variety of diagnostic procedures
- Communicate effectively with pet owners
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure equipment is properly maintained
- Assist veterinarians during procedures
- Collaborate closely with other veterinary professionals
