Job Description
Advanced Veterinary Specialists (AVS) is seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Assistant to join their surgery team. This role supports veterinary staff in providing excellent surgical care, involves assisting with patient recovery, and maintaining surgical suite readiness. AVS is a veterinary emergency and critical care facility accredited by the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society.
Requirements
- Provide compassionate care to patients.
- Assist with patient restraint and monitoring.
- Prepare surgical suites and recovery areas.
- Clean and sterilize surgical instruments.
- Maintain accurate records of surgical instruments.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
- Maintain California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP).
