Legal Counsel

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to play a key part in advancing Evonik's business objectives by shaping, negotiating, and advising on agreements and strategies. This role offers real ownership, direct visibility with senior stakeholders, and mentorship from experienced in-house counsel.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials
• Active state law license in good standing (New Jersey or New York preferred)
• 4–7 years of experience with a major law firm, regulatory agency, or corporate legal department preferred
• Strong familiarity with purchase, supply, manufacturing, and service agreements
• Experience with compliance matters and knowledge of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) preferred
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and collaborate across business functions
• Prior experience in manufacturing, specialty chemicals, or procurement preferred
