Job Description
EXP is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the structural design for projects within the Infrastructure & Transportation business practice. The role involves working under the supervision of the Midwest Bridge Department Manager on a diverse range of highway, railway, and transit projects. This position offers challenging work, a positive work environment, and opportunities for growth.
Requirements
- 10+ years progressively responsible relevant experience
- MS in Civil Engineering – Structures track required
- Licensed IL SE required
- Bridge Inspection experience, including NBIS certification, preferred but not required
- Prior experience with complex projects preferred
- Knowledge of bridge analysis, design and detailing as it pertains to IDOT, Tollway, CDOT, Metra, and local agencies
- Experience with WisDOT preferred but not required
- Experience with a variety of structural analysis software preferred
- Proficient with Bentley’s MicroStation® software required; 3D experience preferred but not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to direct and supervise staff engineers and technicians
