Managing Environmental Engineer (Ph.D.)

We are seeking a Managing Environmental Engineer for our Environmental and Earth Sciences Practice in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering, 5-7 years of related experience, and excellent communication and writing skills.

Requirements

• Conducting engineering and technical analyses related to engineering standard of care, contamination investigations, root cause investigations, environmental and regulatory compliance, surface water quality, industrial processes, and water and wastewater treatment and remediation
• Applying critical thinking to prepare and review complex technical reports and presentations
• Supporting multidisciplinary project teams on complex, challenging problems
• Evaluating and interpreting scientific literature, regulatory standards, guidance documents, and legal case materials
• Providing exceptional technical support to clients such as expert support on litigation matters, professional recommendations on regulatory strategy, and assessment of contaminant risk
• Pursuing professional development
• Leading business development initiatives
• Representing Exponent through conference presentations and journal publications
• Improving professional visibility
• Developing client relationships
• Mentoring and supervising junior staff
