Control Specialist - Fairbanks Morse Defense - Pascagoula, MS

The Controls Specialist (CS) is responsible for installation, commissioning, scheduled, and emergency service on products serviced by Fairbanks Morse Defense. The role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as technical knowledge of control systems and electrical systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior FMD Associate Controls Specialist experience preferred
• One of the following: Associate Degree in Automotive, Diesel, or Power Generation Technology + 4 years' experience in related field (2 years in electrical/motion controls), or 4 years' experience in related field (3 years in electrical/motion controls)
• Knowledge of four-stroke engine operating theory (strongly preferred)
• Understanding of electrical systems and associated hazards (required)
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical line diagrams and blueprints
• Diagnose and repair electrical problems
• Working knowledge of pneumatic, PLC, and electronic engine controls, including: Electrical circuit diagnosis, HMI programming, Automation system diagnosis and troubleshooting
