Lead Software Engineer

Fitch Group is seeking an Associate Director of Software Engineering to join their Data & Technology Team in Chicago or New York. This role involves developing, designing, and maintaining marketing website infrastructure using cutting-edge technologies. The ideal candidate will mentor junior developers, monitor performance, and contribute to technical debt reduction and innovation projects. Fitch is a leading credit information services provider with a strong culture of transparency and credibility.

Requirements

• Experience with software engineering practices, specifically in enabling incremental and agile delivery.
• Strong proficiency in domain-driven design and programming languages such as react.js, Next.js, typescript, Java and unit testing.
• Experience with databases like Mongo and RDS (Postgres/MySQL/Maria DB) and experience with Content Management Systems.
• Experience with Search Solutions like Elastic, OpenSearch and/or Apache Lucene
• Familiarity with industry-standard API specifications such as OpenAPI (Swagger), JSON, REST, and GraphQL
• Experience building continuous integration and delivery pipelines using tools like Bamboo, github actions, etc.
