Senior Mechanical Engineer, Structures Design

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and lead design efforts for crucial parts of our iron-air battery integrated structures.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Bachelor's with 6+ years industry experience in mechanical design
• Experience leading design work for complex mechanical systems and structural design, using FEA for structural analysis
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD), specifically SolidWorks modeling and drafting using GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
• Proficient in component design for mass manufacturing and assembly (DFMA), especially sheet metal, stampings, weldments and extruded components
• Proficient with prototyping techniques and working in a machine shop environment
• Familiarity with mechanical verification testing
• Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems, power electronics, or batteries is a plus
