Software Engineer, Cybersecurity Analytics & Enforcement

Fortinet is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to the success of their rapidly growing cybersecurity analytics and enforcement business. This role involves designing and maintaining policies using Starlark (Python-like) to detect cybersecurity violations, investigating new techniques for detection, applying machine learning and statistical techniques, and enhancing the execution environment. The position requires collaboration across engineering teams and provides opportunities to contribute to various cross-functional projects.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
• Strong programming skills in Java, C, C++, or similar languages
• Familiarity with Python
• Strong interest in data science/machine learning/statistical analysis
• Ability to work well with a range of collaborators
• Ownership and care for code and collaboration
