The Facilities Manager position is responsible for maintaining buildings in a well-maintained, clean, and safe manner, training and supervising staff, managing repairs, and working with program staff to support building needs.
Requirements
- Experience working as a facilities manager in both commercial and residential buildings
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- At least three years of experience in facilities management work or a related field
- At least one year of supervisory experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience in overseeing one or more of the following fields: Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and painting
- Working knowledge of equipment installation and repair including but not limited to HVAC systems, generators, mechanical equipment, compressors, etc.
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work after hours, on-call, as needed
- Ability to prioritize tasks and perform work independently
- Ability to direct work of staff as assigned
- Creative and flexible
- Show initiative and be responsible for follow-through
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to utilize various computer programs including Microsoft Office, Johnson Controls, BMS and CMMS
- Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) a plus
- A valid NYS driver's license with a clean driving record is required
