The Fraunhofer Institute for Large Structures in Production Engineering IGP in Rostock develops concepts for product and process innovations in various future-oriented industries. The research portfolio includes manufacturing processes, automation and quality technology, company organization and product development for the business fields shipbuilding and offshore, construction, steel construction and aircraft and rail vehicle construction. The research area Mechanical Joining Technology at the Fraunhofer IGP deals with, among other things, the cross-industry creation of design rules for mechanical joining processes and non-welded structural details.
Requirements
- Preparation and execution of publicly funded research projects and development orders with industry
