The Fraunhofer Society is seeking a Research Associate with Doctoral Opportunities in Physical Measurement Technology. The role involves developing and modeling procedures for characterizing dielectric and piezoelectric materials and components, and coordinating projects for the development of piezoelectric applications. The successful candidate will have a scientific university degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a comparable field.

Requirements

• Development of test stands for electrical and electromechanical characterization of functional ceramic material samples and components
• Development of electronic circuits and assemblies as part of the test stands
• Development of evaluation algorithms and their implementation in suitable software
• Coordination and acquisition of projects for the development of piezoelectric applications
• Supervision of student assistants and accompanying student project and thesis work
• Writing of scientific publications and presenting results at international conferences
