Job Description
Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a hands-on Electrical Field Apprentice I for a unique, collaborative environment focused on safety and employee growth. This apprenticeship program involves classroom training and on-the-job experience, building skills in electrical maintenance and operations within a copper mining complex. The role includes minimal supervision and potential for progression. More information will be shared during the hiring process.
Requirements
- Completion of, or graduation from a structured electrical apprenticeship program
- Successful completion of academic and practical competencies (JTSED, JTED)
- Basic electrical maintenance principles
- Ability to understand and apply written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work in potentially stressful environments
- Ability to lift moderately heavy objects
- Must pass a medical exam
