Job Description
The Department of Physics at Furman University invites applications for two tenure track positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank to begin August 1, 2026. The positions require a demonstrated potential for superb teaching and scholarship involving undergraduate researchers, effective institutional service, and a willingness to work with colleagues across disciplines.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field
- Postdoctoral or industry experience preferred
- Excellent classroom instructors
- Capacity to establish a nationally competitive undergraduate research program
- Teaching breadth and versatility
