Digital Key Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hardware Design Engineer to join our team, focused on developing best-in-class automotive Digital Key systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in hardware design and testing, preferably in automotive or consumer electronics.
• Proven expertise in BLE, UWB, NFC, and other short-range wireless technologies.
• Experience working with CCC/Apple Car Keys/MFi/NFC Forum requirements.
• Strong proficiency in PCB design including schematics capture and layout using industry-standard tools such as Mentor Graphics, Altium, Eagle, or KiCad.
• Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.).
• Solid Knowledge of embedded systems and processor architectures (ARM-based systems, etc.) and low-power design techniques.
• Familiarity with wireless connectivity protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, BLE, NFC, UWB) and best practice for coexistence and de-sense mitigation.
• Familiarity with automotive-grade components, environmental constraints, and compliance to applicable regulations.
• Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, and other reliability engineering practices.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
• Ability to interpret and apply EMC/EMI design principles and regulatory requirements (FCC, CE, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complex hardware and system issues.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines.
