Job Description
General Motors is seeking a hands-on, versatile Hardware Design Engineer to support the development of innovative electrical and mechanical systems. This role blends electrical hardware design, wiring design, and mechanical integration—ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys solving complex, cross-disciplinary problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of relevant engineering experience.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience as an electronics technician or similar.
- Experience with PCB design tools such as KiCAD, ExpressPCB, or similar.
- Proficient in soldering and technician-level tasks (e.g., wire crimping, mechanical assembly).
- Familiarity with prototyping and testing hardware in lab environments.
- Basic coding skills in Python and microcontroller platforms (Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
