Genpact is seeking a skilled and experienced SAP Basis & Security Consultant to support the administration, maintenance, and security of our SAP systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the system landscape's stability, performance, and security, including user access control, role management, and system upgrades.
Requirements
- Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager, etc.).
- Manage system upgrades, support packages, kernel upgrades, and enhancement packs.
- Perform daily system health checks, performance tuning, and proactive monitoring.
- Manage SAP system landscape including transport management and client administration.
- Perform backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams for database, OS, and storage requirements.
- Design, implement, and manage SAP user roles and authorizations.
- Handle user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews across SAP systems.
- Conduct authorization trace analysis (SU53, ST01) to resolve access issues.
- Maintain and monitor segregation of duties (SoD) and compliance requirements (e.g., SOX).
- Integrate and manage GRC Access Control, if applicable.
- Work with audit and compliance teams during security assessments.
- Work on SAP projects involving new implementations, system migrations, or cloud transitions (e.g., to Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams for troubleshooting and system improvements.
- Provide technical guidance during go-lives and patch management.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
- Experience in SAP Basis administration and SAP security.
- Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA, NetWeaver, Fiori, and HANA DB.
- Proficiency in SAP user and role administration (PFCG, SU01, SUIM, SU53).
- Knowledge of Transport Management System (TMS) and Client Strategy.
- Understanding of RFCs, SAProuter, SSL/TLS, and system connections.
- Experience with SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) is a plus.
- Familiarity with OS-level (Linux/Windows) and database administration (HANA, Oracle, SQL).
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- SAP Certified Technology Associate (e.g., SAP Basis, SAP Security, or SAP HANA Technology).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) hosting SAP.
- Exposure to SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and SAP Cloud Connector.
- Knowledge of SAP SSO, Identity Authentication Service (IAS), and Identity Provisioning Service (IPS).
