Job Description
Genvax Technologies is seeking a Synthetic Organic Chemistry Intern for a Summer 2026 position at their Ames, IA location. The intern will assist in synthesizing lipids and intermediates, learning lab techniques like TLC, column chromatography, and NMR analysis, contributing to ongoing projects, and reporting to the VP of Research and Development. This is a paid internship with flexible dates (May 25th - August 14th).
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Previous hands-on experience in an organic chemistry research lab
- Actively pursuing a degree in Chemistry or related field
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new skills quickly
- Basic computer skills
