Sr. Estimator

GPJ is hiring a Sr. Estimator to join our growing team. The role is on-site and requires a minimum of 5 days per week in Las Vegas or Nashville office locations. The Sr. Estimator will oversee and coordinate estimating projects, ensuring accuracy and quality while maximizing profit margins.

Requirements

• Participate in all aspects of fabrication estimating and bid preparations
• Follow GPJ estimating standards and policies
• Cost Analysis: Evaluate and analyze the costs of materials, labor, equipment, and other expenses related to project proposals
• Bid Preparation: Prepare detailed and competitive bids for projects, ensuring all elements are considered and accurately estimated
• Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of all estimates, including assumptions, methodologies, and supporting data
• Vendor Management: Source and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring cost-effective procurement
• Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks and uncertainties in project estimates and propose mitigation strategies
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to gather necessary project information and specifications
• Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports and presentations for management, highlighting key cost factors and potential savings
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, cost benchmarks, and best practices to continuously improve the accuracy and efficiency of estimates
