Staff Backend Engineer - New York

Giga is a voice AI startup that has raised $61M Series A and has several paying customers, including DoorDash. We're building the next generation of customer experience using real-time AI agents. We're looking for a staff engineer to help shape the technical direction of our backend systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience
• Experience leading complex projects
• Opinions about how systems should be built and ability to articulate tradeoffs
• Ability to turn vague problems into clear technical approaches
• Excellent code writing skills and ability to hold others to a high standard
• Comfortable with uncertainty and energized by hard problems
