Service & Café Manager

The Service & Café Manager will be responsible for the coordination of the concession stands, front-of-house staff and catering operations, including dining room service, setup and service of catering events, and catering sales. The job is based in Juneau, Alaska.

Requirements

• Knowledge of food & beverage operations
• Strong leader and a proven track record in guest and team member engagement
• Excellent customer service/guest relations, communications, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to make decisions based on established policy and procedures
• Ability to immediately identify operational and service problems and initiate resolutions
• Ability to handle all complaints quickly and efficiently, in the guests’ best interests
• Strong organizational skills: ability to work productively, skillfully and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work all different shifts including days, evenings, holidays and weekends
• Ability to handle stress under pressure
• Ability to provide quality customer service
• Able to communicate verbally and understand and follow written and verbal instruction
• Ability to work directly with the public, providing information and assistance on a daily basis
• Ability/willingness to learn and pass on to guests those areas of interest to visitors, such as local history, people, culture, geography, etc.
• Some knowledge of basic cleaning principles, equipment and products
• Detail oriented
