Summer Co-op/Discovery Sample Management

The student Co-op will be responsible for management of GSK collection, including distribution of samples and inventory management. The role involves using multiple software applications to drive each process flow, maintaining accurate records, and operating in accordance with various SOPs, compliance, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Work in a team responsible for the daily receiving/sorting, weighing, distributing, and maintaining inventory of our small molecule chemical compounds.
• Use multiple software applications to drive each process flow.
• Must have good attention to detail and be highly organized.
• Capable of prioritizing multiple job functions and ability to work within tight deadlines.
• Follow written procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Effectively communicate results of work to supervisor and others.
• Maintain instruments in good working order and reports safety and maintenance problems to supervisor.
• Operate in accordance with various SOPs, compliance, and safety standards.
