Job Description
The West Power Analyst provides analytical and market research to support trading strategies across WECC, CAISO, and SPP, focusing on interpreting market fundamentals, identifying trading opportunities, and supporting congestion research and virtual trading strategies.
Requirements
- Analyze and interpret power and fuel market fundamentals
- Mine and model CAISO and SPP data
- Conduct asset- and region-level research on power plants, transmission projects, and market trends
- Monitor and summarize regulatory, legislative, and stakeholder meetings
- Develop and maintain dashboards, models, and analytical tools
- Collaborate with other teams to improve business processes, data quality, and information workflows
- Maintain compliance with all corporate trading policies, codes of conduct, and reporting requirements
