Compliance Coding Auditor - Integrity and Compliance Program - Full Time

The Compliance Coding Auditor is responsible for conducting audits related to coding and billing in accordance with The Guthrie Clinic's policies. This role involves analyzing compliance standards, completing reports, working closely with the Compliance Officer and Coding Audit Coordinator, and ensuring internal audit and compliance processes are followed. The position requires strong understanding of medical terminology and coding guidelines.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and coding guidelines including CPT, ICD-9/10-CM, and HCPCS coding systems and guidelines, payer guidelines and requirements.
• Minimum 1-year experience in Physician coding and billing and/or compliance field.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience and/or knowledge of Medical Records auditing process preferred.
• Associate's degree required; Bachelor’s preferred
• AHIMA (RHIA, RHIT, or CCS) or AAPC (CPC) required
• Requires sitting for CPC exam within one year
• Communication skills to effectively communicate audit findings to providers and staff
