Job Description
This position is for an Infection Preventionist focused on surveillance, investigation, and reporting of infection control data under the guidance of the Infection Control Committee. The role involves daily rounds, participation in EOC and TJC Tracers, and performing surveillance studies to reduce hospital acquired infections. The role also focuses on identifying sources and mitigating transmission, developing reports, and integrating public health issues into practice.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, medical technology, or related field
- Registered Nurse (RN) or MT/MLT license (APIC certification 2 years of hire)
- 2 years experience in a clinical or microbiology setting with infection control and prevention policies
- Participation in ICRA planning, assessment, and daily rounding
