Job Description
This Ultrasound Tech position at the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer utilizes high frequency sound waves for medical diagnosis. The role involves performing scanning exams, assisting radiologists, performing quality control, and assisting with emergency situations. It requires quick reaction time, ability to work independently and confidently, and the ability to lift, push, and reach. The position also involves maintaining a sterile environment and assisting with student training.
Requirements
- Perform scanning exams according to physician instructions.
- Assist the Radiologist/Clinician with procedures like percutaneous fluid aspiration or biopsy.
- Perform equipment checks and routine quality control.
- Perform high level disinfection of equipment and instruments.
- Able to lift, push, reach, bend, and walk in order to provide patient care.
