Job Description
The Critical Home Repair (CHR) Family Services Intern works directly with applicants and approved Partner Families in our Critical Home Repair program, assisting with program coordination, community outreach, and client support. This full-time internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit housing services, community engagement, and program coordination.
Requirements
- Passion for nonprofit work, housing stability, social services, or gerontology
- Comfort working with diverse populations, including aging adults and low-to-moderate income households
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
