Hajoca Corporation is seeking a non-CDL Delivery Driver at their Stuart, FL location. The ideal candidate will be friendly, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious, with a strong customer service focus.
Requirements
- Operate trucks safely and in compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations.
- Load the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise to be delivered.
- Understand the shipping documents that are associated with the merchandise for each delivery and have accurate directions to each delivery destination.
- Review shipping documentation and ensure order accuracy.
- Unload correct merchandise from the truck and place it where the receiving party wants it.
- Collect and secure outstanding payments for all cash sale deliveries prior to releasing the material to the customer.
- Work with customers at the delivery site to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately.
- Load the truck at other locations with merchandise.
- Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses discovered in the course of making deliveries.
- Inspect the truck and required parts and accessories to determine safe operating condition prior to departure from the Hajoca location.
- Advise management of any mechanical problems with the truck.
- Complete the Driver’s Daily Vehicle Inspection Report when driving a delivery vehicle with a gross vehicle weight (GVWR) of 10,001 lbs. or more if a defect or deficiency is found.
- Remove keys from the truck and store keys in the approved location.
- Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
- Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
