Job Description
As an optometrist, this position is responsible for providing direct care to patients and administrative responsibilities. Providers must adhere to HCHN policies and procedures, as well as HRSA, JCAHO, OSHA, and HIPAA rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Valid and active State of Michigan license as a Doctor of Optometry (OD) to practice optometry medicine in the State of Michigan
- Board Certified in Optometry
- Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of eye care delivery
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Meets all attendance and punctuality requirements
- Professional and appropriate dress
- Demonstrates an ability to resolve interpersonal and professional conflicts
- Ability to formulate decisions and make judgments
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships
- Effectively and efficiently complete all paperwork requirements
