Job Description
The Business Development Trainee position involves a 12-to-15-month structured training program on commercial insurance, agency engagement, and territory management, including coursework and review of coverage forms. The position assists the underwriter, reviews and prepares renewals and endorsements, and learns to manage the agent's portal. After the training program, the candidate will be prepared to independently manage agency relationships, evaluate commercial risks, and contribute directly to profitable growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business related field, or equivalent education
- 0-1 years industry experience
- Participation in insurance industry course work preferred (AU, CIC, etc.)
- Ability to operate a company vehicle and maintain an acceptable driving record
- Willingness to travel up to 25% throughout our writing footprint
