The Assistant Athletic Trainer position at Hartwick College supports the Head Athletic Trainer in providing high-quality care to NCAA Division III student-athletes during practices and home competitions. Responsibilities include injury evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. This is a part-time, non-exempt role requiring availability during weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training or related degree from an accredited college or university (Master’s preferred)
- National Athletic Trainer’s Association Board of Certification (NATABOC)
- NYS Athletic Trainer Licensure or eligible to be licensed
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Prior experience in a collegiate or high school setting preferred
- General computer skills including Microsoft software (Word, Office, Excel, etc.)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle a job with a daily change of pace
- Ability to use independent action, estimating skill, memory, and problem-solving skills
