Job Description
Headway is building a new mental healthcare system, focusing on making therapy accessible and scalable. They are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead their ranking and relevance team, building the matching and personalization systems that connect patients with therapists. This role involves a blend of product, data, and machine learning engineering, and a close partnership with cross-functional leaders to create a user-focused experience.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of engineering management experience leading high-performing software or ML engineering teams
- 5+ years of prior experience as a software or ML engineer building large-scale distributed systems or ML-powered products
- Experience building or scaling search or ranking systems from scratch
- Comfort managing teams spanning ML and software engineering
- Strong cross-functional partner with a product intuition
- Proven track record of fostering a culture of learning and psychological safety
