Job Description
Hearst Television, the ABC affiliate in Jackson, MS, is seeking a Director of Engineering. This role involves leading a team, organizing, planning, managing, and completing assignments in a live broadcast environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in broadcast excellence and teamwork, and a passion for serving the local community.
Requirements
- Manage and schedule technical and operational staff
- Oversee all studio and field equipment
- Manage the daily operation of the station including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Monitor air channels, maintain regulatory compliance, and assure quality control of on air products
- Budgeting and Capital Planning
- Exhibit working knowledge of television maintenance, FCC requirements and licensing, and OSHA guidelines
- In-person attendance is required
