Newscast Director - PT

KMBC-TV, an ABC affiliate in Kansas City, is seeking a Part-time Newscast Director to manage the production of high-quality newscasts. The role involves operating an automated production system, collaborating with multiple staff members, and troubleshooting technical issues. The director will focus on delivering compelling broadcasts across all shows.

Requirements

• 2+ years directing and technical directing a newscast
• Knowledge of production switchers, audio boards, and studio equipment
• MOS and basic computer network understanding
• Understanding of newsroom systems ENPS and video playback systems
• Technical know-how to resolve existing issues and to work around problems
• Flexible hours and shifts, including holidays and weekends
