Job Description
WTAE, the ABC affiliate in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Local News Photographer to capture the essence of stories in the field and bring them to viewers. The role involves shooting, editing, and executing live shots, as well as contributing to newscasts, and requires a strong eye for video and adherence to journalistic standards. The position requires coordination, equipment maintenance, and work with reporters and producers.
Requirements
- Shooting and editing of VOs, VO-SOTs and packages for broadcast air and online postings
- Work with the Assignment Desk and Reporters to cover daily stories
- Shoot on assigned professional camera equipment
- Edit in Adobe Premiere and use ENG, SNG, and wireless data
- Gather video and still pictures for digital platforms
- Work with reporters and producers to ensure the best content
- Work with producers to ensure their creative vision is accomplished
- Coordinate incoming video elements from crews in the field
- Work with catalog systems to save/store, record and locate necessary video
- Produce and publish content to our online platforms
- Organization and attention to gear/equipment maintenance
