Job Description
Hermeus, a venture capital-backed aerospace and defense technology company focused on sustainable asymmetric advantage delivery for the U.S. Department of Defense, is seeking a Hardware-in-the-Loop Software Engineer Intern. The role involves setting up, integrating, and testing real-time simulation environments, focusing on system evaluation and development of automation scripts. Internships will take place during Spring (January-April) and Summer (May-August).
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in Julia or strong experience with Python, MATLAB, or C++.
- Experience with hardware integrations and embedded computers (Raspberry PIs, arduinos, STM32s).
- Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- GPA of 3.0 or above.
