Product Design Engineering Team Leader

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Product Design Engineering Team Lead- Distribution Transformer (Single and Three Phase) to join their team in Global Engineering Center, Vadodara, India. The role involves developing standardized design modules and a configurable product portfolio to accelerate quotation and design processes, reduce lead times, and improve product quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
• 12 years of experience in Design as an engineering manager
• Good experience of Single-phase distribution transformer & Standardization of single-phase transformer
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams
• Proactive, self-motivated, and driven ownership
• Open to change, feedback, and continuous improvement
• Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., Creo)
• Knowledge of Lean Engineering or Design for Configuration principles
• Proven experience in modular design and product standardization
• Experience in modulation processes
• Experience in project management
• Experience in CPLM is must
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language
