Job Description
Hmong College Prep Academy is seeking an Elementary Special Education Teacher to serve students in grades K-5. This role focuses on providing differentiated instruction, managing IEPs, and creating a positive learning environment. The school prioritizes the needs of at-risk students and fosters a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Requirements
- Current MN teaching license in one or more of the following: Emotional Behavior Disorders, Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Deaf or Hard of Hearing, or Oral/Aural Education.
- 3+ years of teaching experience.
- Knowledge and experience with due process procedures.
- Strong skills in classroom presentation and management.
- Knowledge of instructional technologies.
- Knowledge of research and trends in teaching and student learning.
- Ability to adapt Instructional routines, activities, and scaffolding to diverse student populations.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of program and functions of a school setting.
