Job Description
Hmong College Prep Academy is seeking an Elementary Special Education Teacher to support students in grades K-5. Requirements
- Current MN teaching license (Special Education: Learning Disabilities Grades K-12, Special Education: Autism Spectrum Disorders Grades K-12, Special Education: Emotional Behavioral Disorders Grades K-12)
- 3+ years of teaching experience working with diverse disabilities
- Knowledge of due process procedures
- Strong skills in classroom presentation and management
- Knowledge of instructional technologies
- Knowledge of research and trends in teaching
- Ability to adapt instructional routines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of curriculum areas
- Knowledge of multicultural and disability fair curriculum
- Ability to implement classroom activities that foster critical thinking
- Ability to plan lessons based on district and school goals
