The Registered Nurse (Inpatient Behavioral Health) provides patient-centered care, coordinates care, and participates in patient and family teaching. The RN is accountable to practice in accordance with the Michigan Public Health Code Act 368 of 1978, Article 15 (Health Occupations), Part 172 (Nursing).
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited Registered Nursing Program
- Current Michigan RN License
- Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider
- ACLS Certification or completed within one year of hire
- PALS certification or completed within one year of hire
- NRP Certification or completed within one year of hire
- Certification in specialty area (CCRN, CRN, CNOR, CEN, etc) preferred
- Recent hospital experience and/or previous nursing practice experience preferred
- 2 years prior RN experience in desired specialty area preferred
- Prior experience with electronic patient documentation system preferred
- Prior experience with technology common to specialty area (i.e., cardiac monitors, IV pumps) preferred
- Bilingual preferred
